Self-advocacy is an important part of the development process for all children, but especially for those who learn differently. Check out these self-advocacy resources at the Wrightslaw website.

Strengths Star: Finding your child's strengths
“The Strengths Star,” maps your child’s skills in a visual way. It revolves around the eight major categories of strengths that are common in dyslexics. From the eight categories of strengths, you’ll be identifying your child’s top three. If this assessment identified only your child’s top strength, you’d be missing good complementary strengths. If you were to identify more than three skill strengths, you might dilute the effectiveness of understanding those top three.
