May 4- August 28th, 2026

Don’t let summer slip away!

Hit the road with our Summer Reading Together: Great American Reading Roadtrip! This summer, kids can “travel” across all 50 states through the pages of exciting books; discovering new places, people, and adventures along the way. The more they read, the more chances they have to win fun prizes, making every story a stop on an unforgettable journey. So pack your imagination, turn the page, and keep the adventure going all summer long!

What can kids win?

Each month, four winners will be selected based on the most minutes read—one Elementary School student, one Middle School student, one High School student, and one Home Membership reader. At the end of the contest, four Grand Prize winners (one from each group) will be recognized for the most days read overall, with a “day” defined as at least 20 minutes of reading.

  • Monthly Winners (4 total each month): Awarded to the readers with the most minutes read in each group:

    • 1 Elementary School student
    • 1 Middle School student
    • 1 High School student
    • 1 Home Membership reader
  • Grand Prize Winners (4 total): Awarded at the end of the contest to the readers with the most days read overall (minimum of 20 minutes per day), one winner from each group above.
