Marion Huber Learning Through Listening Winners
Samantha Widdison, Winner - Belmont, MA
As a child, Samantha pretended to read chapter books but always fell behind. After being diagnosed with dyslexia, she remembers feeling sad that a reading specialist would pull her out of her class and single her out among her classmates. Then in 6th grade, Learning Ally was recommended. At once, Samantha could keep up with text as her peers did. Her grades improved, homework became easier, and she gained a critical life skill understanding of how to speak up in class. Learning Ally gave her the confidence to achieve! Several of her reading evaluations showed a significant increase in her wpm fluency score. "Audiobooks made a huge difference in my life," shared Samantha. "Thank you, Learning Ally!"
