Synopsis

TRANSMATH is a math intervention for students in grades 5–10 who are performing two or more years below grade level. TRANSMATH controls cognitive overload by providing two strands of instruction in every daily lesson: Conceptual Understanding and Problem Solving profi ciency. This math intervention: • Teaches multistep problems gradually and in a meaningful context • Utilizes numerous visual representations to build conceptual understanding • Builds success with fewer topics in greater depth
