Ventanas Lengua

Synopsis

Ideal for a two-semester intermediate Spanish sequence, meeting up to five hours per week, the two volumes of VENTANAS are linked by grammar structures, vocabulary, and high-interest themes that serve to promote critical thinking and classroom discussion. VENTANAS: LENGUA the grammar/communication text, focuses on developing students' overall linguistic skills and cultural competency. VENTANAS: LECTURAS the literary/cultural reader, emphasizes the development of students' reading and critical-thinking skills through systematic practice, a wide variety of literary and cultural readings, and the integration of short, contemporary feature films. The two volumes may be used together or independently to meet a variety of course objectives.
