Teacher's have the power to dramatically affect a person's outlook, self-esteem, and dreams. For children who have print disabilities, a champion teacher is oftentimes a pivotal part of their lives. It's time to #ThankATeacher!
May 2-6, 2016 is National Teacher Appreciation Week!
Learning Ally
is joining in the movement with the
National Education Association
and the national
Parent and Teacher Association
to thank teachers everywhere.
How do you join in? It's simple:
On your personal social media, post a photo or a video describing the teacher you wish to thank, and why!
In your post, use the hashtag
#ThankATeacher
We want to share in your fun! Make sure to tag Learning Ally in your post. You can find us on
Facebook
,
Twitter
, and
Instagram
. To tag us, simply type "
@Learning Ally.
" In order for us to see it, your post will need to be set to "public."
You can also donate a gift to Learning Ally, a national non-profit, in honor of your teacher. Simply go to this
link
, select the amount you would like to donate, click "
dedicate my donation in honor or in memory of someone,"
select an e-card design for your teacher, and we'll do the rest.
Check out these
examples
from last year's campaign, and enjoy the video submitted by
