7. Getting the Most from Membership

We are so happy you joined our Learning Ally community! You probably know about our human-narrated audiobooks, but we have recently expanded to offer many parent and student support services such as free webinars and community events. Check out the steps below to help you make the most of your new membership. Remember, we're always here for you.

Here's how to get started

Step 1

Take a video tour of Learning Ally

We are so excited to have you as a member, and we want to help you and your child succeed. We offer many services and features to our Learning Ally members, so much more than audiobooks. Watch this quick video tour to help you get started with your parent dashboard and member area.

After taking the tour, don't forget to create your child's account and upload their certification to ensure they have uninterrupted use of audiobooks.

Step 2

Understand the benefits of audiobooks

We all want our children to read on grade level, so it is very important to continue with reading interventions. However, it is equally important that children continue to have independent access to knowledge on their grade level. Listening to books will grow your child's love of reading, confidence, vocabulary and comprehension skills. All of this leads to success in both school and life. Our audiobook library contains over 80,000 human-narrated titles, and they can be read on Windows or Apple computers, Chromebooks, as well as on Andriod and iOS devices.

Step 3

Engage in our community of support

As a Learning Ally member, you have the power of community behind you! Most of us are parents of children who have dyslexia or other learning differences. We are here to learn from each other, and to help all of our children grow. We offer online chat groups, live and on demand parent webinars, local events, national events, and even our new student advocacy group called the Yes Program. We can't wait to meet you!

Step 4

Embrace our path to success: A Champion + Accommodations + Remediation = Success

Learning Ally’s proven 3-part framework for success can make a world of difference for your child. As parents, we are our children's champion - their advocate - and we will work together to make sure they receive the proper accommodations and remediations to continue on the path to success. We're so glad you found us! Together, it's possible.
