Schooling was difficult for Tatiana Clautaire of Spring Valley, NY due to three disabilities – a visual impairment, dyslexia, and cerebral palsy. “Having Learning Ally in my corner made learning a lot easier,” she said. “Now, I read all my textbooks independently. I can study independently, which is a blessing. I don’t have to call someone to help me study for an exam, download a book, or even purchase a book. I’m more proactive in my classes, and participate more confidently. I am proud of myself.” Tatiana’s Learning Ally mentor also gave her support and information, as well as guidance to become a social worker. “My mentor understood my disabilities and the experiences I have had trying to learn. She could relate. I appreciate the Audiobook Solution and my mentor so much. Thank you Learning Ally for this scholarship. This opportunity is a blessing and helped me complete my education with a bachelors degree.
