Synopsis

This volume of collected works is written by St. Thomas’ entire religion department.  It focuses upon developing students’ critical thinking and writing skills.  It addresses five major systematic theology themes in chronological order.  These updated themes include revelation, God, creation, Jesus, and church. The text is written for an increasingly diverse student body.  Features include a new introduction detailing the religious studies discipline.  New chapters include Islam Past and Present (12), Christianity in the United States (23), and the Second Vatican Council in Context (24).  The rest of the book contains updated chapter content and bibliographies. An ideal introductory level book for a diverse student body learning about Christianity’s impact upon world events.
