Synopsis

Over five million workers in health care related fields are at risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens, such as the HIV virus and hepatitis B virus. Designed to meet the current OSHA training requirements, Preventing Infectious Diseases, Fifth Edition was designed to teach students how to prepare for potential occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials, and even has supplemental information on airborne pathogens such as tuberculosis.
