The return of little big man

by Berger Thomas

Synopsis

In the long-awaited sequel to the best selling literary classic Little Big Man, the foremost chronicler of the American West, Jack Crabb, continues his fabulous adventures. Jack Crabb was 111 when he originally dictated his memoir Little Big Man. His supposed death cut short his tale just as he reached his thirty-seventh birthday, when he was left as the only white survivor of Custer's Last Stand. A newly discovered manuscript, however, reveals that Jack faked his death to get out of his publishing contract, & now completes the story of his extraordinary life. As Jack writes about the gunfight at the OK Corral & the assassination of Wild Bill Hickock, we meet, shoot, drink, & ride with Bat Masterson, Annie Oakley, Doc Holiday, & dozens of teachers, bar girls, saloon owners, & gunslingers. Most important, Buffalo Bill Cody takes Jack along to Europe with his Wild West Show, where our narrator wines & dines with the Crowned Heads & sips tea with Queen Victoria. Finally, we learn who was behind the dastardly murder of Sitting Bull. Little Big Man was praised by numerous historians for its historical accuracy. Thomas Berger's meticulous research & documentation will no doubt be noted again for this work.
