Trueman refuses to play catch with Martha and declares that he wants to run away to become a hobo, that is, until Martha decides to help him by teaching him how to catch the ball before his softball game. With the help of Helen and all their friends, Martha coaches Truman on not being afraid of the ball, and in no time, he's catching the ball like a pro. Is he truly ready for the big game?

Martha Speaks is a new 40-episode, animated series premiering on PBS KIDS, September 2008. Designed to enrich the vocabulary of 4- to 7-year-olds, the series is based on the classic Houghton Mifflin books by Susan Meddaugh that have charmed and captivated millions of children.
