Family Night Toolkit

One of the best ways to inform parents and caregivers and engage them in supporting their child’s use of the Learning Ally Audiobook Solution is to host a Family Night. Below, we’ve included preparation tips, a sample agenda, and links to customizable resources.

Preparation Tips

  • Set up student Learning Ally accounts prior to the event.
  • Invite parents/caregivers using all your existing communication channels (e.g., enewsletters, social media, emails, backpack mail). Be sure to ask them to bring a fully charged device that children can use to read at home. Here’s an invitation (English/Spanish) that you can download and customize.
  • Prepare handouts. Print copies of the Parent/Caregiver Kit (English/Spanish) and fill in the username and password for each student on page 2.
  • Get student volunteers. Identify students who would be willing to share their experience with Learning Ally during the event.
  • Book your room and technology. Be sure you have the proper equipment to show videos to your audience.
