Mary Volpe

Mary’s dyslexia is so profound that she had to attend a specialized school for her first two years of high school. ” “I flew under the radar with my learning differences undetected until I was 15 years old,” she says. “My life was ambushed by ‘stealth dyslexia.’”  Since she was introduced to Learning Ally by her neuropsychologist, she has used the program on a daily basis. “It has had such a dramatic impact on my schooling and is a lifeline for me,” she says. With the additional help of Orton-Gillingham-based tutoring, Mary flourished and was admitted on a full merit scholarship into the Pathways Early College Innovation School at Mount Wachusett Community College for her final two years of high school. Now she is passionately interested in pursuing a business degree and immersing herself in the arts, photography and design.
