Marc joined Learning Ally’s Board in 2009 and serves as Chairperson of the Human Resources Committee and a member of the Executive Committee. He is a managing principal at Semler Brossy Consulting Group (SBCG), a private, independent executive compensation firm. Marc has worked with Board members and senior leadership for more than 15 years to improve business performance by addressing significant people issues that result from expansion into new businesses/geographies, mergers, management changes, or change-management initiatives.

Prior to joining SBCG, Marc was a principal at Mercer Human Resources Consulting, and also spent 12 years at Sibson, where he co-founded and led the firm’s London office, and also managed the financial services industry practice and Princeton office. Marc’s immersion in projects across industries and geographies has found him working with companies headquartered in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, and southern Africa. He has deep expertise in the financial services sector, particularly corporate, investment, and retail banks, investment management firms and private equity partnerships. Marc received a B.A. in economics and engineering from Dartmouth College, graduating summa cum laude, and was also Fuqua Scholar with an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He has spoken on human capital issues to groups such as the World at Work national conference, the Conference Board, the Private Equity Human Resources Roundtable, the UK Senior HR Leadership Forum, the UK’s Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and the Wall Street Compensation and Benefits Association. His articles and quotes have appeared in publications like American Banker, Bloomberg News, CFO, CFO Europe, Financial News and The Wall Street Journal Online.
