Kevin Wright, 5th Grade Teacher, Clarendon Avenue Elementary

Kevin is a fifth grade teacher at Clarendon Avenue Elementary School, Mukwonago Area School District; Mukwonago, WI. Kevin sets high expectations for all his students, including those with reading deficits. He recognizes the important role assistive technology can play in a student’s reading development so students who struggle with decoding can continue to develop grade-level vocabulary and comprehension skills as well as participate in inferential and analytical thinking. With his guidance and encouragement, students who have always seen reading as a barrier are beginning to feel empowered in their learning.
