For the last three years, Boston Public Schools has partnered with Learning Ally to support struggling readers. Learning Ally provides high quality, human-read audiobooks, a suite of educator resources, and integration with Clever for seamless access for qualifying students.

 

Last year, BPS students read 268,000 pages!

How Do I Get Started?

Educators and students can log in via Clever to access Learning Ally. Use the following guides to begin or access the BPS Tech course that will walk you through every step of implementing the Learning Ally Audiobook Solution.

BPSTech - Access this course to learn how students use Learning Ally's Audiobook app for access to grade-level text and how educators can utilize the app during instruction.

Students can download and read their audiobooks anytime, anywhere

Students can add any of our more than 80,000 audiobooks to their personal online bookshelf, including classic literature, popular fiction and an array of educational titles. They can then login to our free app and download books from their bookshelf directly to their home or school-issued computer or mobile device, giving them access to this essential reading accommodation anytime, anywhere! The Learning Ally Audiobook Solution is compatible with PC, Mac, Chromebooks, Android and iOS devices.

 Students will log in with Google Credentials through Clever.

Motivate Students to Read

Encourage students to set reading goals and motivate them to read all year long with Learning Ally's reading programs.

What's Involved in Each Program?

Encourage students to envision, set, and work towards goals that will help them build strong reading habits. This is an annual program where Learning Ally completes a raffle drawing for prizes each quarter.

Schools sign up for this challenge to read the most pages. Watch leaderboards throughout a 7-week period to see your school's standing. The Top 10 schools win technology and national recognition for their outstanding reading achievements.

Dive into programs like March Book Madness and Picture Book Palooza. More ideas like this feature excellent Learning Ally audiobooks aligned to strategies that are fun and easy to try in your classroom.

Fight summer learning loss with this program. Featured summer reading theme lists aligned to other summer library programs as well as monthly and overall summer prizes help students turn summer slide into summer success.
