Every co-teaching relationship is unique and takes time to build. When you establish one well, it serves as the cornerstone for your students’ learning and growth, especially in literacy. As co-teachers for the past three years, the presenters experienced the process of building a foundation for working cohesively both in person and virtually. In this edWebinar, attendees will learn how the presenters worked closely to establish a strong framework for teaching literacy and differentiating instruction for the needs of diverse learners in the classroom. Attendees will learn about the six models of co-teaching as well as how to implement and apply them to teaching literacy:

  • Team teaching
  • Parallel teaching
  • Station teaching
  • Alternative teaching
  • One teach, one assist
  • One teach, one observe

The presenters will cover how they structure reading instructional periods so students receive evidence-based practices in all areas of literacy, as well as strategies for increasing engagement in the classroom. There’s also a whimsical twist you don’t want to miss!
