Connecting the Science of Reading to the Science of Learning for Equitable Outcomes
Wednesday, January 19th at 3:00 PM EST.
Presented by Linda Diamond, M.Ed., Educator, Author, Speaker, Consultant
Moderated by Terrie Noland, Ph.D., CALP, Vice President, Educator Initiatives, Learning Ally

This edWebinar will discuss merging the Science of Reading with the Science of Learning in order to marry the research with practical implications for teaching. The Science of Reading tells us what the research says are the critical components of learning to read while the Science of Learning, grounded in cognitive science, tells us how we learn. By joining these two sciences, we can more readily understand how to teach so the vast majority of children become proficient readers.

This edWebinar will be of interest to teachers, librarians, and school and district leaders of the kindergarten through elementary grades. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
