Learning Ally’s Spotlight Learning Series presents: Early Literacy and the Whole Child
During this virtual conference, educators will explore learning and developmental factors that play critical roles in the building of foundational literacy skills in decoding and comprehension. Factors such as cognitive development, neurological “wiring,” school and home environments, and social-emotional readiness all play a role in a child’s ability to learn and, therefore, to learn to read. Topics will range from the neuroscience of reading and best instructional practices aligned with current research on reading and learning to the impact of holistic child development on language and literacy, social-emotional considerations, trauma-informed instructional practices, and equitable and inclusive access to educational needs.
