CEU Credit Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions
Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia, is pleased to offer conference participants continuing education units for their attendance at this event. By purchasing a package with CEU, you are giving permission to the Learning Ally event coordinator to supply your information to VCU to register for CEU’s.
The CEU is uniform unit of measurement for noncredit continuing education activities. One CEU is defined as 10 contact hours of participation in an approved CEU event. The CEU does not equate to regular university undergraduate or graduate credit. Participants may earn ½ CEU for participation at 5 to 9 contact hours and no more than 1 CEU credit for 10 or more hours.
This conference will be live and recorded. Number of contact hours will be determined as the summation of all contact hours recorded as logged-in between December 2, 2016 and February 2, 2016. Determination of valid contact hours is at the discretion of Learning Ally.
The CEU provides a means of recording an individual’s successful completion of various continuing education activities, allowing students to accumulate and transfer continuing education records throughout their lives. It is solely up to outside certifying agencies – not VCU – whether to accept or decline VCU CEUs for the purpose of certification or licensure renewal.
Participant must complete successfully an evaluation form by February 3, 2017 that will include requiring the participant to write, in sentence format, three learnings from the conference referencing specific sessions/speakers. This form will be made available to those purchasing a package with CEU.
Your official CEU transcript will be available around March 15th, 2017 or earlier. For instructions on finding and printing your transcript, visit the VCU Office of Continuing and Professional Education website at ocpe.vcu.edu.
THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR CEU’s, purchased individually or in a group.
