Position Summary:

Learning Ally is on a mission to radically change education and the way children who struggle to learn are supported in the classroom. As the E-Learning Manager, you will have a key role in leading comprehensive strategic growth at Learning Ally by designing and implementing a multi-layered professional learning program.

  • You’ll bring your experience as an educator to help staff members build their own expertise. You’ll integrate your professional learning seamlessly across the organization by developing a deep understanding of the company culture and existing solution for struggling students.
  • You will develop instructional material, coordinate, write, and edit educational content, and incorporate current technology into learning solutions.
  • You’ll confirm mastery of content through evaluation of learning objectives and ongoing formative assessments.
  • Through multiple modalities (including but not limited to: scenario-based professional learning, online presentations and webinars, one-to-one coaching, and cross-functional team building of a community of practice), you will ensure all staff master the information they need to ensure we reach mission-critical targets.
  • You will be the key leader responsible for creating a professional learning community and developing a culture of literacy that delivers collective impact.

Qualifications:

  • Passion to change education.
  • A deep-seated belief in the power of literacy to transform the lives of struggling learners.
  • A strong desire to help other people succeed, with evidence of effective adult learning facilitation including mastery of objectives through multiple learning modalities.
  • At least five years facilitating learning for adults in an education setting.
  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design or related field.
  • Drive to meet learners where they are (especially those who do not have a background in Literacy education) and bring them to mastery through facilitation of effective learning strategies.
  • Proficiencies in eLearning authoring tools, instructional design, story-boarding, and script writing.
  • A strong and diverse educational background.
  • The ability to accelerate your own learning curve and to impact organizational culture through change management.
  • A knack for simplifying complex ideas in literacy education into relatable and actionable activities to support various job functions. In particular, demonstrated understanding of the specific needs of various departmental roles, e.g., how does the sales team’s needs differ from the implementation team’s needs?
  • The ability to create thoughtful and easy-to-follow presentations on the fly as well as creating a structured and ongoing learning plan as part of an ongoing professional learning community for all staff members.
  • Strong written and spoken presentation skills, and desire to connect with adult learners.
  • The ability to develop deep relationships with key departments, including but not limited to: human resources, account management and delivery, sales, research, production, and technology.
  • Should enjoy the challenge and reward of giving and accepting feedback to coworkers.
  • Experience as an educator.

Work Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
