Elementary-school-students-raising-hands-in-classroom.Great teachers bring out the best in students, and parents make powerful allies when equipped with the right knowledge. In this spirit, Learning Ally is offering free workshops for parents and teachers that focus on how to best meet the needs of students with learning disabilities. There are two workshops this week for educators in the Boca Raton area. Teachers earn 7 CEUs for attending.   • Prevention and intervention strategies for classroom management
  • Data-based decision making at the school, teacher and class level and how to apply the data from universal screening/benchmarking to improve Tier 1 instruction
  • Critically discuss and trial various strategies of instruction
  • Getting and maintaining student engagement

  • Differentiating instruction and accommodations to meet the needs to students with disabilities and students with other learning differences
  • How to develop inclusionary practices in the classroom and increase access to learning by reducing physical, cognitive, and organizational barriers
  • Effective and equitable provision of accessible instructional materials (AIM)
  • Progress monitoring for students with disabilities or students who do not respond to the general curriculum
  • Group activities that focus on successful strategies for differentiation
  • Categorizing differentiation by Content, Process and Product by Readiness, Learning Style, and Interest
